Fighting for Georgia, one community at a time — because that's what real leadership looks like.
With over four decades in real estate, Gail Davenport is a passionate advocate for "democracy in housing" — the belief that every person deserves a shot at homeownership. Through workshops, foreclosure prevention seminars, and partnerships with HUD-certified counselors, she's turned that belief into action. A Spelman College graduate, Senator Davenport holds leadership roles across the Georgia Legislative Black Caucus, Georgia Legislative Women's Caucus, National Black Caucus of State Legislators, and more — bringing a powerful collective voice to her work in office. Deeply rooted in faith and community, she serves actively at Andrews Chapel United Methodist Church in Jonesboro, Georgia. Raised by her mother, Mrs. Helen Dixon Davenport, and her late father, Nathaniel Davenport, their values remain the foundation of everything she does.
